Camp Sangamon & Betsey Cox
Sangamon and Betsey Cox are boys and girls camps right next door to each other, combining the best of single-gender and co-ed camps. We offer old-fashioned camping opportunities whose values of independence, self-discovery, tolerance, and cooperation are part of every day's program.
The entire program is elective at Betsey Cox and Sangamon, Each camper creates a personal schedule each day from a more than 15 instructional activities. "Choice" is an every period, every day feature. We live in rustic, simple cabins, as close to the outdoors as we can get... and different from our regular lives in many ways. Two-, three-, and five-week sessions, ages 9-15. American Camp Association accredited. We're small and personal, with 90 campers and 45 staff.
